1.Properties
Off-white hard granular solid, Mohs hardness 3.5–4. Insoluble in water. It decomposes at high temperature and releases carbon dioxide. Low iron content ensures high whiteness.
2.Main Applications
Raw material for glass production
Aggregate for artificial stone, terrazzo and construction
Raw material for refractory materials after calcination
Flux agent in metallurgy (steel making)
Filler for coatings, plastics & rubber
Water treatment filter media and soil conditioner
